I bought a book about haunted Britian and Ireland.  It gave be the inspiration to draw this image.  Yes, this was first a graphite drawing, which I drew on an A3  leaf of paper.  I started drawing the church first of all and a few head stones.  It still need more, so I added a moon with a smiley face.  I then added more head stones and then decided to add a high cross, because I wanted this to be set in Ireland.  On the right of the image I then drew a dead tree with a face, I still think its really cool looking.  It still needed something else so I added more trees with faces and two other trees in the  forground.  Still, there was no life in the image and that's why I added the raven.  It seems as if  we are seeing everything from his/hers view point.

I always had the aim of giving this image a sort of cartoon look about it and recently I decided to paint over the drawing.  I used layers when painting and when it was finished I though it would be a good idea to give the painted layer just over half opacity.  I think I've given this image a unique look and I'm quite proud of it, even if its not the best drawing/painting in the world.
